The Pitch Perfect films

Snow plays Chloe Beale across Pitch Perfect (2012), Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) and Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), appearing alongside Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.

The original film follows college newcomer Beca, played by Kendrick, as she joins the Barden Bellas. Their performances centre on a cappella: singing without instrumental accompaniment. As Universal’s synopsis of Pitch Perfect explains, Beca introduces new musical arrangements while the group competes against other college singers.

Chloe is already part of the Bellas when Beca arrives. Snow’s role continues through both sequels, making the trilogy a connected viewing route through her musical-comedy work.

By the third film, the Bellas have graduated and are dealing with life outside college. The returning ensemble includes Snow, Kendrick, Wilson and Anna Camp. Watching the films in release order follows that progression from student competitions to the group’s post-college reunion.

Early film roles: comedy, musicals and horror

John Tucker Must Die and Hairspray

In John Tucker Must Die, Snow plays Kate opposite Jesse Metcalfe’s title character. Directed by Betty Thomas, the 2006 teen romantic comedy also stars Ashanti, Sophia Bush and Arielle Kebbel.

A year later, she appeared as Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray. The 2007 musical’s ensemble includes Nikki Blonsky as Tracy Turnblad, Zac Efron as Link Larkin and Michelle Pfeiffer as Velma Von Tussle.

Amber is an antagonist, giving Snow a different part from Chloe in the later Pitch Perfect films. Both productions belong to the musical side of her filmography, but they place her in different relationships with their central characters.

Prom Night and Would You Rather

Snow takes the central role of Donna in Prom Night (2008). Donna’s school celebration becomes a fight for survival when the man who murdered her family returns to pursue her.

The film is an early entry in a recurring strand of Snow’s career: horror built around characters facing immediate danger.

In Would You Rather, released commercially in the US in 2013, she plays Iris, who is struggling financially while caring for her seriously ill brother. An invitation to dinner leads to a lethal game controlled by the evening’s host. The film places Snow at the centre of a contained psychological-horror story.

Someone Great, X and later film work

Someone Great (2019) casts Snow as Blair, one of the two friends supporting Gina Rodriguez’s Jenny after a breakup. DeWanda Wise plays their friend Erin.

Written and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film follows the three women on a New York City adventure before Jenny’s planned move. Its focus on friendship and changing adult relationships gives Snow another comedy role outside the school and college settings of her earlier films.

In X (2022), she plays Bobby-Lynne in writer-director Ti West’s horror film. The story takes place in 1979, when a group travels to rural Texas to make an adult film and encounters deadly danger at the property where they are staying. Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega and Scott Mescudi also star.

Snow’s later work includes the short film Red, White and Blue (2023), in which she plays Rachel, a single parent facing financial hardship. The film received a nomination for live-action short film at the 2024 Academy Awards; the nominated filmmakers were Nazrin Choudhury and Sara McFarlane.

She also appears in Barron’s Cove, which received its US theatrical release on June 6, 2025. Directed by Evan Ari Kelman, the crime thriller stars Garrett Hedlund as a father whose response to his son’s death triggers an abduction and a manhunt.

Television roles before The Hunting Wives

Snow’s television career includes Susan Lemay on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light and Meg Pryor on NBC’s American Dreams.

American Dreams ran from 2002 to 2005. Set in the 1960s, it follows the Pryor family, with Meg’s involvement in American Bandstand connecting the family drama to the period’s music and television culture.

Her subsequent credits include Ariel Alderman on Nip/Tuck and Jenna Backstrom on Harry’s Law. These roles sit alongside guest appearances in programmes including Gossip Girl, Ben and Kate and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

In Almost Family (2019–2020), Snow plays Julia Bechley. Julia discovers that her fertility-doctor father used his own genetic material to conceive numerous children, overturning her understanding of her family. The drama also stars Megalyn Echikunwoke and Emily Osment.

Recent television: thrillers and The Hunting Wives

Snow appears in the second season of The Night Agent as Alice, the partner and mentor assigned to Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso. Her character is connected to Peter’s first assignment within the intelligence operation Night Action.

In The Hunting Wives, which debuted in 2025, Snow plays Sophie O’Neil. After relocating from New England to East Texas, Sophie becomes involved with wealthy socialite Margo Banks, played by Malin Åkerman. Adapted from May Cobb’s novel, the series combines that relationship with obsession, secrecy and murder.

According to Netflix’s season-two announcement, Snow and Åkerman return when the second season premieres on November 26, 2026. As of October 5, 2026, that season remains forthcoming.

Snow also plays Nina, the wife of Matthew Rhys’s Nile Jarvis, in The Beast in Me. The eight-episode thriller centres on Claire Danes’s Aggie Wiggs, a writer drawn into investigating her neighbour Nile, who was a suspect in his previous wife’s disappearance.

Parachute: her work behind the camera

Any guide to Brittany Snow movies and TV shows should distinguish Parachute from her screen performances. It is her feature directing debut, with Courtney Eaton and Thomas Mann in the leading roles.

Released in 2024, the drama follows Riley and Ethan as their relationship develops around questions of love and dependency. Apple TV’s Parachute listing identifies Snow as its director and a producer.

For viewers exploring her career, that distinction matters: Parachute offers an example of Snow shaping a film behind the camera, while the other titles above showcase her work as a performer.
